Colorful flowers, calm Blue Island colors, and tropical snacks and sweets are just some of the things you are about to see if you will be deciding to enter the very cute theme of Moana party.

Abby turned three years old and she is a big fan of Moana. She would sing and mimic Moana each time she would watch the movie on her tablet. Hence, we decided to give her the Moana Themed Birthday Party.

Let me share with you how we planned for her fun party. Here are some tips to have that perfect Moana party for your princess:

Every party starts with the invites and a Moana themed party deserves that perfect Moana invitation. There are a lot of invites inspiration you can find on the Web and you can use this as an inspiration to show to your chosen invitation maker.  Or you can simply download some free printable invitations on the net and simply make your own.

A Moana Inspired Cake

The cake is the center of every party table and you wouldn’t want to skip preparing that part. You can choose from any island or tropical colors, blue, white, yellow, or orange! You can choose to have an exact look at an island or you can just incorporate the idea of island and flowers.

The Birthday Girl Costume

Your girl is the star of that party and you wouldn’t want to make her not look like Moana, right? You can copy the exact costume of Moana, or Hawaiian costume, or just re-create new costume with other tropical inspiration.

Some of Abby’s cousins arrived in their Moana-inspired outfit. While others came in their oranged color outfit which is the color theme of the party

Guests can come in their Moana or Hawaiian Attire

You can inform the guest if they can come in their Moana or Hawaiian attire. To make it not so difficult for your guests, you can also pick a color which they can use if they don’t have your specified attire. In the case of Abby’s birthday, we choose the orange as the color motif. Guests were encouraged to come wearing this color if they don’t have the Moana inspired costume.

Tropically Inspired Table Setting

You can have a very Hawaiian inspired table set-up or if it is too much, a simple blue colored tablecloth can make your table looks like an island, or simply add some tropical elements on your table. In our case, we use what we have at home.

Have  snacks that are tropical inspired

From cookies with tropical designs to other foods that are decorated with an island-inspired look. Don’t limit your ideas and play with your creativity.

Moana toppers and decors to match the theme

You can have a cupcake baked together with tropical theme frostings but if you prefer to have a simply baked cupcake, these cute toppers can be used for consistent designs.

Our Moana Standee was made from a printed tarpaulin mounted on a thin plywood. We also created the boat made of thin plywood for an added effect

Moana Standee and Props

Your Moana inspired birthday party can be turned into an action-packed voyage by adding a Disney Moana Standee and some props like a kiddie size boat. This full-color, free-standing Moana Standee is made from a printed tarpaulin mounted in a thin plywood. This  Moana boat was specially created made of thin plywood. You can also do it using some thick board.

We created these color bags made of rubber and load it with some goodies and toys

Moana party favors

You have a wide range of party favors to choose from. It can be luau accessories (bracelets or necklaces), Moana coloring book, or just  Moana Inspired Goody bags filled with snacks and sweets.
